With this, according to human rights defenders, the number of Ku Klux Klan clan groups decreased from 130 to 72. Researchers say, today fewer people are attracted by hoods and robes.
In addition to open xenophobic groups, there are active anti-government organizations in the United States that advocate violence. Their number has increased over the past year from 623 to 689. Of these, 273 groups are paramilitary organizations.
In December 2017, representatives of the Muslim community of the United States said the level of hatred for those who follow Islam exceeded one that was after the September 11, 2001, attacks.
