Obama welcomed the ratification of the Afghan parliament bilateral agreement with the US on security cooperation and agreement on the status of NATO forces in Afghanistan. The President also congratulated the Afghan president and prime minister on the success of last week in Brussels and London ministerial conference on stabilizing the situation in the country.
In addition, the leaders reviewed the upcoming completion of the combat mission in Afghanistan, the transition to the NATO operation "strong support", as well as ways to strengthen and support the Afghan National Security Forces and support from the US and the region, led by Afghan peace process.
