OPEC+ agreement reached 120% conformity in September
Almaty. October 23. Silkroadnews - The countries taking part in OPEC+ oil production reduction agreement achieved a record-high conformity level at 120% in September 2017, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports.
“In September 2017 the level of realization of the agreement of OPEC and non-OPEC countries reached 120%,” the report said.
All options for further implementation of the agreement remain open, the OPEC points out.
Next meeting of the monitoring committee is scheduled to be held on November 29, a day prior to the conference in Vienna to discuss the issue of a possible extension of the output restriction deal after March 2018.
To remind, at the end of 2016 OPEC and a number of non-OPEC countries, including Kazakhstan and Russia, concluded the current agreement on oil production reduction. The countries agreed to withdraw 1.8 million barrels per day from the market, including 300,000 barrels by Russia and 20,000 barrels – by Kazakhstan.
Initially, the agreement was concluded for the first half of 2017, afterwards it was extended until the end of March 2018.
