Poland and China expressed their readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation

Almaty. June 20. Silkroadnews – Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Poland’s capital Warsaw to meet with President of Poland Andrzej Duda, Xinhua news agency reports.

“My today’s visit is aimed to enhance the mutual understanding and trust between our countries, promote exchanges and cooperation in all the areas, deepen the Chinese-Polish relations in strategic partnership. Poland is important member of the European Union and plays a leading role in Central and Eastern Europe. Our intention is to make the joint efforts to promote cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe as well as the China-EU relations as a whole,” the Chinese leader said.

The Chinese side plans to work with Poland to strengthen cooperation in the framework of “one belt, one road” initiative, realize the potential of cooperation in the areas of transport and communication capabilities and infrastructure construction.

“For the recent years the business cooperation between Poland and China yielded rich fruits,” A. Duda said.
As a founding member of AIIB Poland is interested to deepen cooperation with China in the fields of infrastructure construction, rail transport and logistics.

“Poland supports close cooperation with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and is willing to work with China to promote cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe,” said A. Duda.
