Police in Shenzhen seized the biggest consignment of cocaine in China’s history

Beijing. May 4. Silkroadnews - The police in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, has confiscated the biggest shipment of cocaine ever seized since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, China Plus reports.
Shenzhen’s Public Security Bureau reported on its account in Weibo (social media platform similar to Twitter) that the police have confiscated a total of 1.3 tons of cocaine as part of a cross-border drug trafficking sting, which ran from July, 2017 to March, 2018, the publication reads.
Based on information from the provincial authorities of Guangdong, Shenzhen Police have also arrested 13 suspects, including 9 from Hong Kong, who reportedly shipped the drugs from South America to Shanwei port in Guangdong province.
