Population of Uzbekistan rises by ½ mln people in one year

Tashkent. March 20. Silkroadnews – The permanent population of Uzbekistan was estimated around 30 488 mln people by the beginning of 2014. This is correspondent to 1.7% (495 100 people) increase compared to 2013, as UzTAG reports.
The State Committee on Statistics reports that urban population is around 51% (15 555 mln people) in Uzbekistan; rural population – at 49% (or 14 936 mln people).
There are 22.3 birth per 1000 people in 2013. This is 1.3 increase per 1000 people compared to 2012. The total of around 674 900 were recorded in 2013.
