Port of Tallinn signs contract with leading Uzbek Freight Transporter

Tashkent. April 2. Silkroadnews – Port of Tallinn, otherwise known as “Tallinna Sadam” signed a contract with “Uzvneshtrans”, a leading Uzbek Freight transporting Company, as reported by Estonian “Delovie Vedomosti”. The publication quotes Tallinna Sadam’s boardmember, Allan Kiil.
This contract was signed during the business visit of Estonian party to Uzbekistan. Estonian businessmen came to Uzbekistan with Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Urmas Paet at the end of March.
National Freight Company JSC “Uzvneshtrans” was sold to the American Overseas Maritime Services LLC in 2007. Uzvneshtrans moves 1.5 mln tonnes of freight annually. The company mostly transports cotton, grain, flour, chemical fertilisers, oil, industrial equipment and mechanisms.
