Preliminary damage from floods in Tajikistan, valued at $ 100 million

Almaty. July 22. Silkroadnews - Preliminary damage from floods in Tajikistan, valued at $100 million, reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Tuesday.
According to the Foreign Ministry, due to the sharp rise in air temperature in many mountain regions of Tajikistan increased melting of glaciers, leading to mudslides and floods, as well as raising the water level in rivers.
Such situation is along the basins of the rivers Panj, Vakhsh, Zeravshan, Kafernigan, Isfara and Isfana. At the moment, continuing assessment of the damage, taken measures to prevent potential risks.
