President of Azerbaijan met the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran
Almaty. August 6. Silkroadnews - The delegation of Iranian officials, headed by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran Mahmoud Voezi met in Baku Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Wednesday.
The meeting discussed the preparations for the upcoming regular meeting of the Iranian-Azerbaijani governmental commission on bilateral cooperation in the economic, commercial and humanitarian spheres, as well as the prospects for the further development of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
The President stressed that the Azerbaijani-Iranian bilateral relations are developing successfully. Recalled with satisfaction his official visit to Iran in April of this year and the meetings with Iranian leaders in Tehran. President Aliyev said that the visit gave a new impetus to the expansion of bilateral ties.
Azerbaijani leader expressed confidence that the work of the intergovernmental commission and its forthcoming meeting in Baku, will contribute to further expansion and deepening of bilateral relations in the political, economic and humanitarian fields.
In turn, the Iranian minister expressed hope that the as result of the meeting between Iran and the Azerbaijan government commission in Baku, the parties will be able to reach new agreements to deepen bilateral cooperation in trade, energy and transportation.
