President of Kyrgyzstan took a special leave for health reasons

Almaty. September 20. Silkroadnews – Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev took a special leave, KyrTAG writes.

«Due to medical examination requirements Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev has taken a short leave starting from September 20, 2016. Presumably, the leave can last until October 1, 2016», press-service of the head of the state reported on Tuesday.

Earlier it was reported that Atambayev cancelled his trip to New York, where he planned to take part in the general debate of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly, for health reasons. The president felt badly at the airport in Istanbul, from where he was supposed to fly to the United States. The head of the state underwent a preliminary medical examination, with Turkish doctors' recommendations to undergo a profound medical check-up due to some heart problem symptoms revealed in the course of preliminary examination.

Kyrgyzstan's delegation to the UN General Assembly will be headed by Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev.
