President of Tajikistan has established a state award for contribution to development of democracy
Beijing. February 19. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon has established a state award for contribution to the development of democracy, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Monday.
A new award in the amount of 125 thousand somoni (over $14 thousand) is named “Emomali Rahmon - Leader of the Nation”, a source in the press service of the head of the state said.
The accompanying document states, the award will be given for a special contribution to the development of democracy, strengthening peace and harmony in the society and development of friendship between people.
The award includes the medal and a cash award. The medal is made of precious metals and represents a circle with a portrait of the president decorated with gold.
The decree on the establishment of the award was signed by President Emomali Rahmon on February 2 this year based on the constitutional law “On the Founder of Peace and Consent Leader of the Nation.”
