President of Uzbekistan awarded “Dustlik” order to PRC Ambassador

Beijing. January 17. Silkroadnews - The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded the Order of Dustlik to the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Sun Lijie completing his diplomatic mission in the country, the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) reports with reference to the president’s press service.
Greeting the guest, the head of the state noted with deep satisfaction the active work and great practical contribution of the Ambassador of China to the development and strengthening relations of friendship and all-round strategic partnership between the two countries. It was stressed that the visit at the highest level in China in May 2017 and the agreements of the leaders of the two countries allowed to bring Uzbek-Chinese cooperation to a qualitatively new level, the statement says.
In his turn, the Chinese Ambassador expressed deep gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping. The diplomat stressed, China attaches great importance to bilateral relations and intends to expand and deepen full-scale cooperation with Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, taking into account the contribution by the PRC Ambassador in strengthening the relationship of comprehensive strategic partnership, the President of Uzbekistan, handed Sun Lijie a high state award to the country the “Dustlik” order.
Ambassador Sun Lijie sincerely thanked the head of the state for high appraisal of his work and personal awarding of the order, as well as for the all-round assistance provided to the work of the PRC diplomatic mission in the republic.
