Prime Minister of Tajikistan and the UN Special Representative discussed the implementation of regional projects

Almaty. August12. Silkroadnews - Tajik Prime Minister and special representative of the UNl - Head of Center for Preventive Diplomacy discussed the possibility of the implementation of major regional projects, according to Tajik Telegraph Agency (TadjikTA) on Tuesday.
"Dushanbe held the meeting of the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda and special envoy of UN, the head of the Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Miroslav Yench. They discussed a list of issues of mutual interest. Raised questions about cooperation in ensuring peace and stability in the region, cooperation in the management of water and energy resources, transport communications",- said the agency senior consultant to the press service of President of Tajikistan Subhiddin Muhiddinov.
M. Yench noted that the UN supports the implementation of major regional projects for the construction of railways, power lines and gas, which will serve as the growth of the economy and improve the lives of the population of Tajikistan.
Representatives of international organizations also noted that the UN highly appreciates the role of Tajikistan in regional cooperation and finding solutions to economic and social problems in the region.
The two sides also touched upon other issues, including the process of preparing for the summit in Tajikistan of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
