"In accordance with Article 25-2 of the Law "On Prosecutor's Office" in order to ensure the legality and prevention of offenses the Prosecutor General Office reports that a number of objective information about the Kazakh citizens participating in combat operations in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. There is also information about the exit of individual citizens to participate in the armed conflict in the south-east of Ukraine", - says the press office.
According to the facts of law enforcement and special state bodies instituted and investigated criminal cases, and in some of them have already been held court conviction.
Stated that by Article 162 of the Criminal Code of liability up to life imprisonment involves mercenaries, ie recruitment, training, financing of mercenaries, as well as participation in armed conflict. According to the said article, an offense is also unlawful participation in armed conflict or military operations on the territory of a foreign state, even in the absence of signs of mercenary. The commission of the act provides liability to imprisonment for a term of 7 years.
"The General Prosecutor's Office warns citizens of Kazakhstan who are trying to leave the country to take part in the hostilities, from committing these crimes and warns of the established criminal liability for it. , the person against whom there is objective information about planning or committing a crime under the above articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be subject to prosecution without exception"- sums up the message.
