Protection of the state border with Afghanistan requires the alert posture by the appropriate structures - President of Tajikistan

Almaty. February 10. Silkroadnews – The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting on the country’s security issues, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Wednesday.
“The issues of the alert posture by the military forces along with the aspects of improvement of the state border protection and reinforcement of fight against the transnational organized crime, terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, corruption and economic crimes have been discussed today at the workshop in Dushanbe,” - the press-service of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan reports.
Special focus was made to the training and education of personnel, military structures technical procurement, military maneuvers and training, professional development and enrichment of the key personnel and commanders.
Touching upon the reliability of the protection of the state border with Afghanistan E. Rahmon said that the issue more than ever requires the alert posture by the country’s relevant structures.  
Given that the president of Tajikistan drew attention to the importance of the effective use of the budget and technical funds in the fight against the different types of crimes.
The participants were unanimous regarding the critical importance of preventing youth involvement by the banned organizations of the extremist forces.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the Ministries of Defense, Internal Affairs, the State Committee of National Security, the National Guard, Agency for State Financial Control and Anti-corruption, anti-drug agencies and other bodies.
