Protesters hit police officer in Alay District

Bishkek. June 4. Silkroadnews –Protesters hit police officer in Alay District of Osh Province, as Osh Department of Kyrgyz MIA informs.
The police officer was on duty when he got hit with sticks. The protesters, who hit him were wearing masks. The police officer in question got a number of injuries. He also has a concussion and was hospitalised.
The protesters “hit the streets” without obtaining any permit from the authorities. Osh-Ishkertam highway has been blocked by them in support of arrested MP Akhmatbek Keldibekov since May 27th.
The case in relation to violence towards law enforcement officer has been filed. It is currently being investigated.
MP Keldibekov, whom the protesters meant to support, continues being investigated as well.
