Qatar recalled its ambassador from Iran

Almaty. January 8. Silkroadnews – This Wednesday Qatar recalled the ambassador from Iran as a sign of protest against the attack on the Saudi embassy in Tehran, Russian media informs.
“This morning the ministry called back Qatar’s ambassador to Tehran against the backdrop of attacks on the Saudi diplomatic missions in Tehran,” Khaled Ibrahim Abdul Rahman Al-Hamar, the director of the Asian Affairs Department, said in his statement.
As reported on January 2, 2016, Saudi Arabia executed Shiite preacher Nimrah al-Nimrah, accusing him of aiding and abetting terrorism and incitement to riot. Overnight into January 3, Shiite protesters broke into Saudi embassy building in Tehranran and Consulate in Mashhad.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei condemned the execution of co-religionist and declared that Saudi Arabia would face “divine retribution”.
In protest against the attack on the embassy of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Sudan     ruptured the consular relations with Iran, Kuwait recalled its ambassador from Tehran and the UAE has decided to downgrade the level of its diplomatic representation in Iran to that of a charge d’affaires.
Bahrain and Saudi Arabia also interrupted air communication with Iran. Besides, Riyadh has announced the discontinuation of commercial relations with the Shiite Republic and banned Sunni subjects of the Kingdom to visit the country.
