Uralsk. March 28. Silkroadnews – The rocket that crashed in Bokeiordin district of West Kazakhstan Province on the 27th of March, turned out to be meteorological, as the deputy head of the district, Rustem Zulkashev, reports.
“The meteorological rocket crashed 500 metres away from the railway station on the 27th of March, at night. It claimed no victims. The working group has been set up to check radiation levels at the site”, Mister Zulkashev says.
“Radiation levels are within the norm, soil samples have been forwarded to Uralsk for further lab testing. We are currently in contact with the Russian polygon “Kapustin Yar”. We are working together to determine the reason behind the rocket’s 180 degrees deviation from its course”, he added.
