Reports of Chinese state agencies on official websites operation have shown uneven development

Beijing. March 3. Silkroadnews - About 20,000 Chinese governmental websites recently published reports on their previous year’s work, in a newly implemented exercise aimed at improving governance services, the Global Times reported.
The provision of services by online departments of state bodies in China showed uneven development, although the nationwide data give cause for optimism.
The Yunnan government website resolved less than 1% of the questions coming in online in 2017, while in the provinces of Hubei and Heilongjiang this reading made 20% and 100% respectively. By the end of 2017, official websites across the country had resolved more than 37,000 online complaints and comments.
However, some government departments are still confused when it comes to managing their accounts in instant messengers and social networks, with “shocking” statements constantly publishing and some official online representations looking similar to “entertainment sites”.
As a whole the official websites of high-level state bodies operate well-regulated, while the state websites of the lower level have low attendance.
Annual reports of official websites are designed to identify fake official websites, irregular updates of information, inaccurate content, lack of interaction with visitors and inefficient provision of services.
The requirement to provide annual reports on the work of government websites was introduced in 2017. Currently, almost 98% of government websites have released their reports.
