Russia and Iran agreed to finance the products supplies in national currencies

Almaty. September 2. Silkroadnews – Russia and Iran held talks on cooperation in the banking sector within the framework of the fourth plenary meeting of the financial and banking cooperation task force of the Permanent Russian-Iranian commission on trade and economic cooperation, IrTAG informs.

The representatives of Iran and Russia signed a number of documents in the course of the task force's fourth meeting. Among the documents signed there are two agreements signed by Russian commercial bank «ROS-Bank» and the Export Development Bank of Iran, and minutes of the working group meeting.

«These agreements allow  when making payments for the supply of Russian and Iranian goods. The protocol is aimed to facilitate the efforts to expand the network of correspondent accounts of banks in two countries and raise the payments volume», the publication says.

The representatives of the Russian and Iranian banks have also confirmed their interest in the long-term strategic partnership and told about the work carried out in this direction.
