Almaty. March 30. Silkroadnews - "First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said on Saturday that Russia has decided to join the Asian Bank for infrastructure investments", - said the agency "Xinhua".
Such a statement he made at the opening ceremony of the annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia 2015 held in Boao village in the province of Hainan in southern China.
Also, the decision to join the ABII officially announced Denmark and Australia. It is noted that, in case of successful review of the issue Denmark and Australia will officially acquire the status of founding member of ABII on April 12 and 13, respectively.
Meanwhile, on March 28, the United Kingdom and Switzerland officially became potential founding members of the Asian Bank for infrastructure investments.
To date, the number of potential founding members of ABII increased to 30. They included Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Laos, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
