Almaty. November 25. Silkroadnews - Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor) has tightened the transit of plant products and meat to Kazakhstan.
"Rosselkhoznadzor has decided to import into the territory of Russia plant products intended for transit to third countries, exclusively through checkpoints across the state border of the Russia", - says the information published on the site office.
As explained in the information, in the course of measures to prevent illegal shipments of regulated products from the territory of Belarus, Rosselkhoznadzor revealed serious shortcomings.
In particular, the observed flow of imported products with forged phytosanitary certificates of origin, admission is completely impersonal products without phytosanitary certificates and without any labeling, as well as the use of illegal importation schemes, such as false transit to Kazakhstan, with the implementation of the banned products in Russia .
According to Russian experts, this indicates a rejection of the Belarusian and Kazakh competent services of effective measures to verify the authenticity of phytosanitary certificates of third countries and to avoid false transit.
Moreover, Rosselkhoznadzor identified major channel smuggling of meat of unknown origin using forged or falsified certificates of foreign veterinary services for allegedly intended cargo transit through the territory of Belarus and Russia to Kazakhstan, with its actual implementation in Russia.
So the Russian side appealed to the Belarus with request from November 30 this year to stop the clearance of consignments of such products for transit to Kazakhstan and third countries to resolve issues of control by the competent authorities of Belarus.
Moreover, Rosselkhoznadzor addressed the Belarusian side to revoke all permits for the transit of goods through Belarus, a route which passes through the territory of Russia, and terminate their registration and issuance, including transit permits to Kazakhstan and third countries.
