Russia plans to provide food assistance to Tajikistan for $7.4 million

Almaty. August 14. Silkroadnews - Russia intends to provide food assistance to Tajikistan for $7.4 million, according to Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) on Thursday.
"Russia plans to help Tajikistan this year by food aid for $7.4 million, as well as to finance the school meals in 2015", - said in a statement on Thursday.
As reported by the Russian Embassy in Tajikistan, through the World Food Programme (WFP) Russia has already provided food aid to Tajikistan in 2008-2010 in the amount of $26 million as part of annual donor contributions.
In addition, in 2011 the Russia supplied wheat flour with an annual donor contribution in the amount of $5 million and a one-time title fee of $1 million; in 2012 - supply of wheat flour and peas with an annual donor contribution in the amount of $5 million and a one-time title fee of $2 million; 2013 - supply of wheat flour and peas through a one-time title fee of $5 million and a one-time title fee of $8 million.
