Russia plans to supply gas by the Turkish stream in 2016

Almaty. May 8. Silkroadnews - The commissioning of the gas pipeline "Turkish Stream" will take place in December 2016, according to Tass.
"An agreement between Russia and Turkey on the early commissioning and supply of gas through "the Turkish stream" will heppen in December 2016",- are reported words of the head of "Gazprom" Alexey Miller, following his meeting with the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Taner Yildiz.
The parties also discussed the issue of supply of Russian gas to Turkey and modernization of gas pipeline "Blue Stream".
Meanwhile, at the meeting it was noted that in the first four months of 2015 through the "Blue Stream" from Russia to Turkey was delivered about 5.4 billion cubic meters of gas, which is 4% more than the same period in 2014.
"Blue Stream" - the gas pipeline with a capacity of 16 billion cubic meters per year, which runs under the Black Sea and provides direct delivery of gas to Turkish consumers.
"Turkish Stream" is an alternative to the project "South Stream" termination of which Russia declared in December 2014. Route "Turkish stream" across the Black Sea will be the same as the previously agreed route of the "South Stream".
