Almaty. October 2. Silkroadnews - Russia's participation in the solution of the conflict in Syria will balance the situation. Such an opinion was expressed by the Syrian oppositioner Radwan Badini at the talks in Astana , KazTAG reports.
"I think that Russia couldn't remain aloof from what is happening in Syria, because, firstly, it is the partner country for many years. Secondly, Russian interests remain important in the region. If Russia refused to take the final step, it would mean a refusal to participate in a peaceful resolution of the Syrian problem",- he explained.
Recall, on October 2-4, Astana hosts the second round of negotiations between representatives of the Syrian opposition. The talks will be held behind closed doors.
As previously reported, on Wednesday, the Federation Council approved the use of the Russian Armed Forces in Syria. With the request to the Federation Council has addressed President Vladimir Putin. The same day, Russia sent military aircraft to Syria.
