Russia to supply ten Su-35B fighter jets to China in 2017

Almaty. February 3. Silkroadnews – The second batch of ten fighter jets 35 Su-10 will be delivered to China this year, with the remaining ten jets to be supplied in 2018, a source in the field of military-technical cooperation of Russia with foreign states told TASS.

“The first four jets were delivered at the end of last year, and the second batch of 10 aircraft will be delivered to the customer this year”, the source said, adding that the final batch of 10 vehicles will be delivered next year.

The officials of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) did not comment on this information.
In November 2016 the Deputy Director of the FSMTC of Russia Vladimir Drozhzhov reported that Russia has started enforcing the first stage of contract obligations to supply these fighters to China.

Russia and China signed a contract for delivery of 24 fighter jets Su-35 back in November 2015. The cost of the agreement is estimated at nearly $2 billion and includes the supply of ground equipment and spare engines. The contract will be executed in three years.

The Su-35 is the Russian multipurpose super-maneuverable fighter of 4++ generation. It can gain speed of up to 2.5 thousand km/h, flying range reaches 3.4 thousand km, combat radius is nearly 1.6 thousand km. The fighter is equipped with 30mm caliber gun and 12 stations for bombs and missiles.
