Russia will invest $1.5 billion into Kyrgyzstan’s gas sector before 2030

Almaty. June 7. Silkroadnews – Before 2030 Russia will invest 100 billion rubles into Kyrgyzstan's gas industry, Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev said during his official visit to Bishkek on Monday.

“Leading Russian companies carry out active operation in Kyrgyzstan, today we have mentioned the work by “Gazprom” to meet the republic’s demand for natural gas. Plans are quite serious in this regard: to invest about 100 billion rubles into gas transmission and distribution network of Kyrgyzstan by 2030. A third of this amount to be invested within the nearest two years,” D. Medvedev said.

According to the Russian prime minister this shall significantly raise the level of gasification of Kyrgyzstan.
