Sales of Volkswagen reached a record level in China in 2017

Beijing. January 17. Silkroadnews - Volkswagen Group China registered record sales in the domestic market in 2017, Xinhua News Agency reported.
Sales of Volkswagen Group China, together with two joint ventures - SAIC Volkswagen and FAW-Volkswagen - reached almost 3.18 million vehicles in the mainland China, up 5.9% compared to the last year.
Last year, the company reported, sales of SUVs exceeded 400,000.
According to Dr. Stefan Wallenstein, General Manager of Volkswagen China Passenger Cars Brand, the company plans to launch four new SUV models to meet this year’s high demand in the Chinese market and plans to introduce 10 new SUV models by 2020.
Volkswagen is the largest automotive company in Europe, producing 12 vehicle brands, including Audi, Lamborghini and Bentley, and delivering them to more than 150 countries and regions around the world.
