Samarkand to become a leader in waste processing in Uzbekistan

Beijing. May 10. Silkroadnews - The historical Uzbek city of Samarkand might become a leader in the field of modern waste management and processing, the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) reports.
Such a forecast has been provided by “Solid waste processing modernization in Samarkand” project implemented in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and supported by France.
The project provides for integrated waste management to improve the city population’s living conditions, as well as for the protection of the environment and natural resources of the entire region, with special focus on water resources.
Special equipment will allow to collect all household waste and provide quality services throughout the city, which grows rapidly, thus, requires innovative, adapted and integrated solutions in the waste management field.
