Samarkand to introduce special tourist maps

Beijing. March 15. Silkroadnews - Special tourist maps that tourists can fold into a compact package and kept in a pocket have been developed in Samarkand, the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) reports.
As the State Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan informs, the map designed covers all the historical and cultural sites, hotels, travel agencies and restaurants.
To note, in according to the presidential decree on additional measures to build environment to develop the tourism potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the country expects a significant increase in number of tourists coming.
The introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of 7 countries and simplification of visa regime for 39 countries is among the measures to facilitate the tourism development program.
