SCO Business Council development priorities have been discussed at the meeting in Tashkent

Almaty. June 24. Silkroadnews – Meeting of the SCO Business Council Board chaired by Uzbekistan took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on Thursday, press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Uzbekistan reported.

“During the meeting the participants discussed the prospects of development of the SCO Business Council, including the priorities and main lines of expansion of cooperation through the implementation of joint projects aimed at increasing the economic potential of the region in the near-term prospects. The agenda also included consideration of various aspects of cooperation in the sphere of support of small business and private entrepreneurship, transport and logistics, innovation, information and communication technologies, exhibition and fair activities, agriculture, tourism, foreign investments attraction,” the statement on the Foreign Ministry website informs.

To facilitate further development of trade and economic and investment cooperation the meeting’s participants noted the importance of organizing joint activities and participation of business representatives in major international forums, exhibitions and fairs held within the SCO countries on a regular basis, the report says.

The SCO Secretary-General, Executive Secretary of the SCO Business Council, as well as the chairmen of the national parts of the SCO Business Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan participated in the meeting.
