SCO intends to counteract security threats due to the situation in the Middle East, Syria and Afghanistan

Almaty. November 19. Silkroadnews - threats to security and stability because of the situation in the Middle East, Syria and Afghanistan was discussed by the special services of the SCO countries in the framework of the scientific conference in Tashkent, informs KazTAG.
Representatives of the secret services of the SCO countries have paid special attention to security threats stability, which will increase with the return to places of residence of immigrants from countries in the region that are involved in the fighting in the Middle East, Syria and Afghanistan.
"They exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation in combating terrorism, separatism, extremism, drug trafficking, transnational organized crime and cyber terrorism", - quoted KazTAG spokesman RATS.
According to him, the meeting reaffirmed the position of the SCO Heads of States of the need for a central coordinating role of the UN in an international response to the terrorist threat.
The conference agreed on the urgent formalization of cooperation and the establishment of working mechanisms of interaction between the SCO RATS and the competent authorities of the SCO observer.
