Severe flooding in eastern Afghanistan has resulted in the deaths of 9 people

Almaty. August 18. Silkroadnews - On Monday night a few counties of eastern Nangarhar province were at the mercy of the floods, which killed at least nine people, reported the Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
The disaster caused by prolonged heavy rains spread into counties Ganiheyl, Nazyan, Dur Baba and Mohmand Dara. The flood destroyed more than 240 houses and various infrastructure facilities.
The loss of life is registered in the counties Ganiheyl, Nazyan, while the bodies of some victims were not possible to be removed from the water.
