Smugglers on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state borded resisted to border guards - 1 intruder is killed

Almaty. August 19. Silkroadnews - Border incident involving weapons occurred in the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, transmits KyrTAG.
As reported, the border guard discovered at border line of Kyrgyzstan a group of unidentified civilians in an amount of 20-25 people who have illegally crossed the state border and tried to smuggle bales of contraband goods across the state border from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan.
The violators did not obey requirements of the boundary order to stop, resisted and began to throw stones at guards. Border guards were forced to make a few warning shots into the air. But violators were not responded. Border guards used a weapon, in a result one of the intruders - a citizen of Uzbekistan -  was wounded.
He was provided first aid, but on the way to the hospital died of his wounds. The rest of the perpetrators fled in the territory of Uzbekistan.
During the arrest, two guards were injured to varying degrees.
Relevant authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic are informed of the incident. State Border Guard Service of the Republic began an investigation.
