SOCAR is drilling a new oil well in Caspian Sea

Almaty. August 14. Silkroadnews - SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) is working on the drilling of new wells in the field "Oil Rocks" in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, reported Trend.
"Daily debit of the well is 10 tons of oil, and its design depth is 1,370 meters", - said the publication with reference to the company.
SOCAR is currently implementing a program to stabilize and increase the volume of oil production. For this purpose, SOCAR is drilling both onshore and offshore fields in Azerbaijan.
In the first half of 2015, SOCAR produced in offshore and onshore fields of the country's 4.14 million tons, which is 1.4% less than the same period last year (4.2 million tons).
Total in 2014, SOCAR produced more than 8.32 million tons compared to 8.31 million tonnes produced in 2013. In Azerbaijan last year were produced generally more 42.4 million tons compared to 43.5 million tons produced in 2013.
