South Korea will provide technical assistance in the amount of $5 million for the elections in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek. September 3. Silkroadnews - The Republic of Korea will provide technical assistance in the amount of $5 million for the elections in Kyrgyzstan in 2015, reports KyrTAG with reference to the press service of the Kyrgyz CEC.
"On September 2, 2014 was signed a protocol on the discussions between the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to provide free technical assistance (equipment) to the Kyrgyz Republic for holding fair and transparent elections in 2015", - said in the message.
From August 27 to September 2 this year, a joint working group of KOICA and the CEC has developed a draft document. According to the agreement, the Government of the Republic of Korea is providing technical assistance in the amount of $5 million.
On that amount the Korean side will provide automatically counting urn with the transmitting device, software, and server equipment for the collection and storage of the voting results. The project also provides training how to use and operate on this equipment.
This agreement was reached during the official visit of Kyrgyz President A. Atambayev the Republic of Korea in the fall last year.
