Special Representative of the UN Secretary General in Liberia became the Afghan diplomat

Almaty. August 14. Silkroadnews - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon appointed a new special representative in Liberia - Afghan diplomat Farid Zarif, said Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
F.Zarif arrived at the service of the Foreign Ministry of Afghanistan in 1974. He subsequently at various times served as Permanent Representative of the Republic in New York, Deputy Foreign Minister and Presidential Adviser on International Policy of the IRA.
Since 1993, Farid Zarif served as part of the UN. He worked in the headquarters of an international organization in New York, and in the ranks of employees of humanitarian missions in Eritrea, Liberia, South Africa, Iraq and Sudan.
Since November 2011, and to date, he was the special representative of the Secretary General Nations Interim Administration in Kosovo.
