Taiwan’s export orders from mainland hit a record in April
Beijing. May 23. Silkroadnews - Taiwan’s export orders from mainland China and Hong Kong hit a record in April, China Daily reports.
The value of cross-Straits export orders stood at $10.6 billion in April, up 13.6 percent year on year, outpacing growth in orders from the island's other major trade partners. Cross-Straits export orders accounted about 27 percent of the total, slightly lower than those from the United States, which also expanded 9.6 percent over the same month of last year, the publication reads.
Deliveries of mainland and Hong Kong electronic goods and equipment grew 17.7% and 35.8% respectively.
In the first four months of 2018, Taiwan’s export orders amounted to $157 billion, which is also a new record for the period.
