Tajik citizen tries to smuggle 500 g. of heroin to Nizhny Novgorod in his stomach

Dushanbe. May 23. Silkroadnews – “20 year-old Tajik resident that was smuggling illicit substances in his stomach, was held by the border control of “Dushanbe-Nizhny-Novgorod” route”, Border control department for Saratov and Samara regions informs.
As the source informs, medical examination indicated there were foreign objects in suspect’s stomach. He admitted that he was trying to smuggle to Russia 72 capsules with the total of 500 g of heroin inside them.
“This criminal offence is punishable by up to 20 years in prison”, the department informs.
