Tajik citizen was killed in a skirmish between border guards on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, 5 more are injured

Almaty. July 10. Silkroadnews - In a skirmish between border guards on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, one citizen of Tajikistan was killed and five were wounded, reported TajiikTA.
"Today, on July 10, approximately at 10:30 Kyrgyz border guards opened a fire on residents of Vorukh. The incident resulted in the death of one and wounding of five local residents - citizens of Tajikistan"- the source said on Thursday.
Residents of Vorukh themselves reported seven local wounded and one dead citizen.
Meanwhile, the first deputy chairman of Sughd region Jumaboy Sanginov told the media that he has no information about the incident. According to him, today afternoon in Isfara is scheduled a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, which will discuss the construction of new roads and bridges on the border, by the agreement signed on 2-3 July in Bishkek. In particular, at this meeting, the parties once again will try to reach agreement on the construction of roads Kok-Tash - Ak-Sai - Tamdyk - Kishemish and Isfara - Vorukh.
