Tajikistan and Japanese pharmacists have signed a memorandum on cooperation
Almaty. October 29. Silkroadnews - "State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan and the Japanese company Cokey System Co. LTD recently signed a memorandum of cooperation. Document was signed by Chairman of the Tajik State Committee Qodir Qosim and CEO of the Japanese company Yoshida Naomasa", - reported the press service of the Committee.
It was noted that the mentioned company is the world's largest producer and exporter of drugs from licorice root. In addition, this group participates in the project to establish joint Tajik-Japanese enterprise JSC "Avvalin" in the area of Kubodien. The joint venture is the first and so far the only with participation of Japan. 51% owned by the Tajik side, 49% - by Japan.
At the plant used high-tech equipment, which is unparalleled anywhere in the world and produces concentrate of glycyrrhizic acid (CGA), contained in licorice root. Products are exported for the production of drugs.
For the cultivation of licorice at the disposal of JSC "Avvalin" allocated two thousand hectares of land in Kubodien and Shahrituz areas.
Currently, for the cultivation and processing of licorice root at the enterprise employed 700 citizens of Tajikistan.
