Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to discuss border issues again

Dushanbe. April 16. Silkroadnews – Another planned meeting on Tajik-Kyrgyz border issues is to be held in Northern Tajikistan, as TajikTA reports.
“Tajik and Kyrgyz working groups on border control are to meet in Kairakkum”, Sogdia administration confirmed.
The meeting is to involve border delimitation and border demarcation experts from both sides.
Disputed border territories are also to be discussed along with road infrastructure construction in bordering territories.
As reported earlier, Kyrgyzstan unilaterally closed its Tajik border after the January 11 incident that left 5 Kyrgyz and 2 Tajik border control officers wounded. Details of that incident are yet to be revealed.
