Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will create task forces to straggle against a drug dealing groups
Almaty. February 9. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will jointly fight against the drug dealers, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reports.
“Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will create joint task forces to investigate and struggle against the drug traffic groups,” - the department of the Tajik Drug Control Agency informs.
The decision to organize such joint task forces to struggle against the organized criminal groups dealing with drug traffic and signing of the protocol in this regard were both made on February 5, 2016, in Khujand, during the meeting of representatives of the DCA of Tajikistan and the State Service for Drug Control of Kyrgyzstan.
The sides discussed the prospects for the cooperation in the field of drug trafficking: coordination of the joint efforts to identify, investigate and combat the illegal drug supply channels, activities of transnational organized criminal groups, organization of joint activities in the field of drug prevention within the border areas.
Besides, within the meeting framework the quality of the implementation of the joint plan between the agency and the public service in the field of fighting against the illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors has been analyzed.
