Tajikistan and the EU exchanged views on Afghanistan

Almaty. February 16. Silkroadnews - In Brussels Tajikistan and the European Union (EU) discussed the issues of cooperation and exchanged views on situation in Afghanistan, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) informs.
“The day before in Brussels during the meeting the Head of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Aslov and the Deputy Secretary-General of the European External Action Service Ms. Helga Schmidt discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation as well as topical issues of regional and international security, including the situation in Afghanistan,” - the publication says.
The two sides also reviewed the procedure for the scheduled meeting of the Cooperation Council between Tajikistan and the European Union to be hold today in Brussels chaired by Bert Koenders the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
The Tajik delegation is headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country Sirojiddin Aslov.
