Tajikistan banned sponsorship of TV and radio information programs
Almaty. May 31. Silkroadnews – Tajikistan banned sponsorship of TV and radio information programs, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported.
“Today the lower house of the Tajik parliament unanimously supported the amendments to the Law “On advertising” proposed by the government, saying the sponsorship of information programs on television and radio, regardless of their forms of ownership, is forbidden in the country”, the chamber representatives told.
According to the amendments introduced, the producers of tobacco products and alcohol in the republic will be deprived of the right to advertise their products.
The amendments also prohibit to specify tobacco and alcohol products producers even in case when they act as a sponsor of an event.
