Tajikistan, in 2014, imported liquefied natural gas worth $180 million

Almaty. January 20. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan in 2014 imported about 295 thousand tons of liquefied gas worth $180 million, reported Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
The main supplier of liquefied gas in Tajikistan was Kazakhstan, its share in 2014 accounted for about 78% of the total. Also in 2014, imports of liquefied natural gas to the RT was carried out from Russia, Latvia, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Meanwhile, in the past year, Tajikistan has exported electricity by 37% more than last year - more than 1.32 billion kWh, worth $131.2 million.
In particular, have been made the delivery of 1.1 billion kWh to Afghanistan and 236 million kWh to Kyrgyzstan.
The volume of import of electricity to Tajikistan in 2014 was $126 thousand. As compared with 2013 year decreased by 40.3%. In general, the supply of electricity from Uzbekistan were carried out to provide electricity to several communities in the border area.
