Tajikistan is going to attract $670 million loans for the economic development for three years

Almaty. January 8. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan is going to raise more than $670 million loans for the economic development for three years, Tajik news agency (TajikTA) reports.
“Within the framework of the state external borrowing for 2016-2018 Tajikistan plans to raise $670.1 million as loans”, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan informs.
These funds shall be directed to develop such prioritized areas of Tajikistan’s economy as transport communications, agriculture, energy and health care in 48 projects, some of which are already being implemented.
The Ministry of Finance noted that the borrowed funds will be attracted from the international financial institutions and funds on a preferential basis. Loan interest rate shall make  0.15% -2% per year.
According to the country financial department, the total external debt of Tajikistan at the beginning of October last year made slightly more than $2.05 billion having decreased compared to the beginning of the year by approximately $50 million.
At the beginning of 2015 the external debt of Tajikistan made $2.1 billion.
