Tajikistan military forces to participate in SCO “Peace Mission 2014” exercise in China

Dushanbe. March 31. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan military forces are to participate in SCO’s “Peace Mission 2014” exercise that will be held in China, Tajik Defence Ministry’s Press Office reports.
Tajikistan’s participation in the exercises was discussed within the framework of the official visit of Chinese Defence Minister to Tajikistan. The parties also discussed issues related to military partnership between two countries, as well as cooperation in the area of prevention of separatism, extremism and terrorism.
“Tajik Defence Minister Sherali Mirzo and Chinese Defence Minister General Chang Wanquan discussed issues of Sino-Tajik cooperation in areas of Defence and Security”, the distributed message states.
Chang Wanquan is in Tajikistan for 3 days. He is to participate in the working session of SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Defence Ministers there.
