Tajikistan plans to import up to 2 million tons of oil from Kuwait

Almaty. December 24. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan is negotiating with Kuwait on imports of the first phase of 100 thousand tons of crude oil, reports Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Wednesday.
Tajik President Emomali Rahmon sent to Islamabad delegation headed by Agency for Material Resources of the Republic Nurmuhammad Akhmedov. Already held talks with the Pakistani authorities on the transit of Kuwaiti oil. The delegation held talks with the Minister of Water and Energy, Trade and Oil Pakistan.
According to the publication, the Tajik delegation asked Islamabad to assist in the processing of crude oil imported from Kuwait to Pakistan, then supplies to Tajikistan as a finished products.
It is reported that Tajikistan needs only diesel fuel and gasoline, and by-products after processing can be used by Pakistan in its sole discretion.
