Tajikistan requires judges to speak Tajik and prevents them from accepting presents

Dushanbe. June 4. Silkroadnews – A draft law “On Courts of RT” was adopted by the lower chamber of Parliament in Dushanbe today. This law requires judges to speak Tajik language and prevents them fr om accepting presents while on duty, as TajikTA informs.
The subsequent requirements are stipulated in the newly adopted law “On Courts of RT”.
“The presents that are given during the protocolled sessions, business trips and any other official engagements are transferred to the court, wh ere this judge works after the necessary documentation is filed”, Tajik Supreme Court Chairman, Nusratulllo Abdullozoda, stated.
